The case study entitled “The Sarong-Clad Entrepreneur from Maldives: Mohamed Moosa” is written mainly based on the interviews with Mohamed Moosa, a successful entrepreneur from Maldives. The case study narrates the entrepreneurship flair and fervor of the down-to-earth and simple person-Mohamed Moosa. The interviews took place at the Mohamed Moosa’s playing fields and backyard that were the Kuredu Island Resort and Spa, Hurawalhi Island Resort and Spa, and on the boat on fishing trips in Maldives. The first part, consists of his early childhood in Male’, his sojourn in Sri Lanka and India and then to his early business ventures. The second part, entails his present-day role in entrepreneurship, this part carefully deliberates his forward looking mindset as well as his business and life philosophies. With easy to read approach, the case study can be easily comprehended and it will serve its purpose to shed light on aspects of Mohamed Moosa’s entrepreneurship mindset and behavior. A further deliberation and thought amongst students and readers inside and outside classrooms pertaining to the case is indeed beneficial.
